Jia Zhangke’s latest film is another chapter in the greatest subject of his career, the ever-evolving country, China. This archival drama, both small and large-scale, is the story of a woman, a couple and a country, told through footage from the past twenty years. Caught by the Tides has been called “a gorgeous and lyrical feature.”

Tickets are available for purchase online or at guest services. Unless indicated on the schedule, screenings are at 7:30p on Fridays and 2p on Saturdays and Sundays at the FIA. Film titles are subject to change.
